A sow polar bear and her two cubs float upon an ever diminishing ice floe.  Few species has been as profoundly impacted by climate change as the polar bear.  In need of ice for their existance , they drift and search for adequate feeding grounds.  One can only lament their uncertain future.  The cast bronze sculpture entitled “Drifters” has an enhanced color patina and is mounted on white marble.  It is 12″ long. Playful sea otters abound in the waters of British Columbia.  Here they can often be seen playing amid the flotsam and jetsam that the high tide brings in.  Here, a sea otter can be seen pondering the potential of an abandoned Japanese net float.  A very engaging C.A. Each year in May, along the Pacific coast from Alaska to Mexico, the Stellar sea lions “haul out” in breeding groups to birth and care for their young.  The large bull watches over his boistrous harem.  “Sea Dogs” captures the seeming kaos of the rookery during this mating season.  This sculpture depicts 21 sea lions on a rock with three gulls in the mix.  It is 22″ long and is an edition of 50. With whistling pinions a pair of Canada Geese prepare to touch down at the edge of the slough where their family of goslings are scurrying to the protection of the cat-tails.  Thought to mate for life these elegant birds annually raise six to eight goslings before they migrate south. “High Rollers”  is cast bronze mounted on black marble and fine walnut wood.  It is 20″ tall. This cast bronze vase is alive with playful river otters!  The otter motif is used in 2 dimensions and also in 3 dimension at the same time.  There are otters in relief all the way around, and three full round otters at the base.  Mounted on black marble.  Uses a plastic liner for holding flowers.  Stands about 13″ tall.
